1. I need help. Does anybody know how to watch the bowl games from England?

I will have access to a computer so is there any way to watch bowl games over internet by paying a fee?
  2. England doesn't have ESPN?
  3. Never been to Europe but don't they have bars or pubs where they show American sporting events?
  4. Can you say where you are going to be? If you are close to a military installation where US forces are stationed, that's your best bet. I frequently travel to the UK and none of the places I've stayed (including London) have offered ESPN.
  5. Not when soccer, cricket or darts is on
  6. I doubt you will have any luck. They show the occasional NFL game, but forget about college football. Your best bet, as mentioned above, is going to a pub near a US Army presence.

FYI, here is the satellite tv guide for sports:

In my 20+ years in England I had never heard of college football. In fact, I hardly knew anything about American Football. The only players I knew were Joe Montana and OJ Simpson.
  7. my brother in law said they only get 5 channels. The sports channel there shows soccer and crap like that.

I think my only hope is that somewhere on the internet has pay per view.
  8. Somewhere near Leeds England is all i know. Any military places near there?
  9. RAF Mildenhall/RAF Lakenheath. If you can find someone with a AFN (American Forces Network) box you will be able to get AFN Sports. You will need to sleep all day to stay up for the games.
  10. I don't know if you will be able to do this, but we shipped my In-laws their Direct TV Dish and receiver when they had to move there for work. The card in the receiver was still set to Louisiana zip code and they got everything we get here, including Baton Rouge locals.

They said it took forever to find the signal, but once they got it everything worked fine.
