Not that we do, but revenge is a dish best served cold. http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp...y?coll=la-headlines-sports&ctrack=1&cset=true
I can't help but be reminded of this article from The Onion: Freshman Running Back Wondering If Other Four Freshmen Running Backs Were Told They'd Start This Year http://www.theonion.com/content/node/52269
Want to fill me in on how this fits in to the revenge category? He's on the cover of a magazine and now he's transferring. He's a terrific kid, has great natural abilities, comes from a very close-knit family, and I'm sure he agonized over having to make the decision to leave. Unfortunately he spent a part of last season not playing due to injury and this fall other backs have shown a big step up in their game. I hope he shines at Okie St, they got a very focused player. Seems to me it's more about timing than revenge.
Certainly. Stay with me here. He transferred to Ok. State, where Les Miles has many friends, who coaches at LSU, which was recruiting Joe McKnight along with USC. Tada, revenge! It was a joke, vball! Come on, you really expect me to mean that?
Just a little related tidbit of info. http://www.insidesocal.com/usc/ FWIW, USC's practices are open and it's not as much of a reach like most assume when it comes to "Strangers" being around their practices. There are many "Fan Days". In a lot of ways I like that but with it's also comes the risk of those who are always looking to exploit a good thing. Beamer at least suggested some "Spying" before their bowl game last year but is still leaving practices open.......at least some, according to a post I'd read on their board. Maybe some of our Tech visitors could elaborate on the extent. :thumb:
That was the initial report but this story and some comments come from Emmanuel's uncle, Michael Chang in a Dallas newspaper. USC's tailback position was 10-deep coming into preseason practices. Moody is one of three USC tailbacks, however, who appear on the regional cover of Sports Illustrated's college football preview edition. "It's not just competition, man. It's more than that," Chang said. "He's competing against California guys, and there is more than his inability to play on that football field. It's just not the best fit for him right now." Moody could not immediately be reached for comment. According to a Los Angeles Times story, Moody said last week that he "felt forgotten" coming into preseason practices because of an ankle injury that forced him to miss USC's last four games last season and a hamstring injury that caused him to sit out almost all of spring practice. Chang said Moody also suffered a bruised upper thigh Sunday during the Trojans' scrimmage, causing him to miss practices earlier this week.............. Chang said Moody (6-1, 205), a sophomore who rushed for 459 yards and two touchdowns on 79 carries last season, would move back home to Coppell on Monday and begin his search for a new college. Wherever he picks, Moody will have to sit out a season because of NCAA Division I-A transfer rules. "We're thinking about maybe closer to home, maybe a Texas school," Chang said, "but we're keeping our options open. We want to make a point that it's an open market right now."
Fried, how bout this, it's being said on at least one forum, that some guys that attended Moody's high school in the Dallas area are saying he may have interest in LSU. Wouldn't that be sweet?? Surely would give new meaning to your joke with our Trojan Princess.
Unless what's being said on other forums turns out to be true........Moody to LSU, Darrell Scott to USC. :hihi: j/k. Moody to LSU would be quite the feature story and one more terrific twist to a potential showdown in January.
I know we don't have the 5* talent at RB that USC does, but we aren't exactly lacking. Why would he want to transfer to LSU to be in pretty much the same situation?
