    NCAA Division I Football Recruiting Calendar
    August 1, 2006 - July 31, 2007
    (See NCAA Division I Bylaw 30.11.3 for football calendar formula)
    The dates in this calendar reflect the application of Bylaw 30.11 at the time of publication of this manual but are subject to change per Constitution 5.2.3.1 or if certain dates (e.g., National Letter of Intent signing dates) are altered.
    (a) August 1 through November 25, 2006, [except for (1) and (2) below]:

    (1) In Division I-A football, six days during the months of September,
    October and through November 25, 2006, selected at the discretion of the
    institution (an authorized off-campus recruiter may visit a particular
    educational institution only once during this evaluation period):

    (2) In Division I-AA football, 42 evaluation days (see Bylaw 13.02.6.2) during
    the months of September, October and through November 25, 2006, selected
    at the discretion of the member institution and designated in writing in the
    office of the director of athletics; authorized off-campus recruiters shall not
    visit a prospect’s educational institution on more than one calendar day during
    this period.

    (b) November 26, 2006, through February 3, 2007, [except for (1) though (5) below].
    Six in-person off-campus contacts per prospective student-athlete shall be permitted
    during this time period with not more than one permitted in any one calendar week
    (Sunday through Saturday) or partial calendar week:

    (2) December 18, 2006, through January 4, 2007:*

    *Institutional staff members may have contact with a prospect who has been
    admitted for mid-year enrollment, provided the prospect has signed a National
    Letter of Intent or other offer of admission and/or financial aid to attend the
    institution and is required to be on campus to attend institutional
    orientation sessions for all students.

    (an authorized off-campus recruiter may use one evaluation to assess the prospect’s
    athletics ability and one evaluation to assess the prospect’s academic qualifications
    during this evaluation period).

    you should CC pete carroll on this. he may not know all the rules when it comes to recruiting. :yelwink2:

    Just trying to provide some football info during the off season. I see Southern Charm is also in the off season.:(

    Yes, I'm aware. If I was that thin skinned I don't think I'd be posting on a Tiger Forum. :hihi:

    It remains to be seen if I receive such similar treatment in January. :eek: :rofl:

    Can only hope you make it down south this year for your vacation, and hope even more that it's to meet LSU. Apparently quite a few "talking heads" seem to think this is the most likely scenario. Now we just have to make sure neither of us trips while tying our shoelaces!

    IF USC is in NOLA come January, so will I be.

    And you're right about not looking ahead. We did that a bit against utla and look where that got us..........Pasadena instead of Arizona. :dis: I believe your schedule favors a date in January. Your toughest games at home (VaTech, Fla, Aub, and Ark) with bama being the toughest road game IMO plus you have a stretch of 3 back to back home games early to help build confidence. USC's road schedule is full of potential potholes. Neb, WA, ND, Or, and kal on the road with two games back to back but in the middle of the season.
