With the upcoming offseason, it will be harder to get enough LSU football into my daily life. That in mind, I thought it would be cool to try and make an All-Time LSU team like some of the other teams on the game. Has anybody else tried to do this? Is there any way to create a team and use a stadium other that the generic ones? And an even more interesting question, who is on the team?
I have PS2, and I created Northwestern State in Natchitoches. However good Idea. Let me think, I will just give some of the skill positions. QB - YA Tittle (Tommy Hodson as backup, Rohan as 3rd team) RB - Billy Cannon and Kevin Faulk (THis is a hard one, Hillard etc etc) WR - Josh Reed (OF Course) and Kennison TE - Brian Kinchen and Robert Royal Defense - Booger McFarland, Gabe Northern, all of the Chinese Bandits, Faulk and James. DB's - Cannot think of any great ones, so I will just put some guys I know and make them good, I will have Ryan Clark, Booker, Webster and Hookfin. That is the best I can remember on a Sunday morning, I am sure I can come up with better ones if I sit and think about it.
my All time LSU Team would look like this: QB: Y.A Tittle, Tommy Hobson, and Rohan Davey, and Herb Tyler RB: Billy Cannon,Kevin Faulk, Dalton Hilliard, LaBrandon Toefield (when healthy) WR: Josh Reed, Eddie Kennison, Wendell Davis, and Michael Clayton TE: David LaFleur, Robert Royal OL: Alan Faneca, Kevin Mawae, Todd McClure, Andrew Whitworth, Stephen Peterman DL: Booger McFarland, Gabe Northern, Javis Green, Kenny Mixon, Chuck Wiley LB: Bradie James, Trev Faulk, Eric Hill, Jeremy Lawerence DB: Denard Walker, Tory James, Mark Roman, Norman LeJune, Clarence LeBlanc, Ryan Clark special teams Player: Ryan O'neal Punt returner: Domanick Davis Kickoff Returner: Kevin Faulk Place Kicker: John Corbello Punter: Kris Kessler, and Donnie Jones
Some DBs... We have had a few All American DBs over the years -- Casanova, James Britt, Mike Williams and Greg Jackson were first team All Americans. In addition, players such as Ced Donaldson, Liffort Hobley and Norman Jefferson come to mind.
You guys put Micheal Clayton and Eddie Kennison ahead of Eric Martin, Wendell Davis, and Rogee Mcgee? Eric Martin caught 553 passes in his 10 year carreer with a high of 85. He also scored 49 TD's. He was the go to guy for the Saints for many seasons. Wendell Davis caught 211 passes in his 7 seasons with a high of 61. He was also the go to guy for a few seasons when he was with the Bears.
QBs- Bert Jones, Tommy Hodson, Josh Booty, Rohan Davey TBs- Billy Cannon, Kevin Faulk, Dalton Hilliard FB- Tommy Banks WRs-Josh Reed, Eric Martin, Wendell Davis, Abram Booty, Tony Moss, Todd Kinchen TE- David LaFluer defense later
Tommy Casanova is arguably the greatest LSU Tiger player ever. He belongs on every all time Tiger team.
Anybody on the cover of Sports Illustrated can be on my team. Does anyone think that it's wrong for me to have Shaq playing as a tight end? I mean, he would be the most unstoppable force on the field if he played tight end. Just throw the ball up and let him box out and make the catch.
Well if you're gonna include Shag you might as well put Gert at the other tightend and Jose Vargas and Stanley Roberts at D-Ends. Throw in Pistol Pete as a backup QB to run the option....you know he could make the pitch.
