Over the past few months, they have had him projected anywhere from No. 8 to No. 12 in the 2007 Draft. Now, they have him listed going No. 7 in this year's draft. I really have't heard anyone talking about him leaving early, but there's a slight chance he could leave. For those of you that care about LSU basketball, any thoughts?

He needs a lot more muscle to do well in the NBA. Amongst other things..... but that would be the major setback.

Well, I sure as heck hope Tyrus isn't reading this stuff, b/c we sure can't afford to lose him this offseason.

Seriously though, #7 in this year's draft? No way. I think a game like UConn really put Tyrus on the basketball map, but everyone who knows anything knows Tyrus is raw and needs some time to develop. He's an athletic big guy in the mold of a power forward the NBA likes, long, jumps out of the gym. BUT, the kid doesn't have that many low post moves, needs to work on his midrange game and back to the basket moves, and develop more of a character. No doubt the kid has NBA athletic talent, and reminds me somewhat of a Chris Wilcox type (i.e., 6'9-6'10" and scary athletic but not a complete player), but he and Glen Davis should stay together one more year at least. I think that both of them could be potential lottery picks in 2007. Remember what happened to Brandon Bass... need I say more.

Glen Davis as a leaner guy also impresses. Many times in the UConn game the commentators really appreciated his mobility. Getting back to play d in transition, dribbling around Josh Boone with ease, spin moves and quick drop steps... I'd still take Big Baby at this point over Tyrus. Remember that Tyrus gets a lot of his dunks b/c people are focusing on doubling BBaby.

We'll see if Tyrus keeps this up in SEC play when teams realize they have to focus on him...

brady is definitely worried about it since tonight he said during his show he hopes tyrus doesnt do TOO well, if you know what i mean, JIM.

i guess its no secret hes shot up the draft charts.

looks like we'll likely lose another one to the nba.

Seriously, I think at this point he'd have a carrer average of 5 points in the NBA. Besides his strength (which is obvious), he has no offensive moves. He has more than enough potential to be a top 10 pick but he needs to develop a lot more to go pro.

It doesn't matter. Lottery pick in the NBA = Guaranteed $$$$$$$$$$.

    He'll bank 10 mill for those 5/5/1 PPG/RPG/APG figures over 3 years.

They told Bass he would be a first round pick, too.

Shows him a second round pick there. I don't know who "they" are... but "they" were clearly full of it. In fact he went 20 spots higher to New Orleans at #33, I believe... Still 2nd round, and still no guaranteed $.

stro had (has) no shot and no moves either.

if tyrus is really 6'7'' he better get some game if he wants to make a roster..

The NBA is always drafting guys off of "potential." This guy Tyrus is exciting to watch. His rebounding and blocking skills are awesome. He's athletic offensively as well, but needs to learn how to take over the defenders. He's got some things to learn, but I say he's a top 20 pick.
