Couldn't agree more. Look at what this POS did (or planned) to the BW security guards, who are all ex-military, and the command is pursuing charges of a punch in the stomach? Think this emboldens them to know they can mutilate corpses, plant roadside bombs, or other acts of terrorism and if they get a little roughed up while being taken into custody, the soldiers capturing them will face charges?

One can only hope that their peers at the CM see this for what it is and find them not guilty. Even better if the prosecution concludes that these guys are heroes who did no wrong and drop the charges.

I agree here, this is my problem with these civilian trials for people picked up on the battlefield including terrorists.

I want to agree with you here but I disagree somewhat.
We are suppose to be at war with these people?
The problem I have with this kind of thing is that political correctness is taking over the military and the country.
The soldiers who protect themselves and us could hesitate to do what they think they need to do in a certain situation because of situations like this.
It could bring morale down and people will second guess everything from here on out.

We have really lost our focus when it comes to terrorism. The bleeding hearts who want trials on US soil, give terrorists miranda rights and hold military members to civil service standards are just lost. Maybe its the effect of leftism so empowered since the last election but we have clearly been poisoned in critical thinking and common sense.

Folks, these scumbags aren't "arrested". They are "captured' enemy on foreign soil. They have rights as a prisoner of war, not a US citizen. Obama and Holder are providing the lawyers with case setting precedent the Supreme Court can not ignore down the road.

Comparing Moussaoui to captured enemies being purposely brought to the US for trial is not the same thing. Moussaoui was captured on US soil by the FBI. He was already in the country and that is clearly different.

The path we are taking with these terrorists and the civil service standards we are imposing upon our military is worrisome. There is a huge gap between repeated waterboarding and a fat lip some enemy terrorist gets while being captured. There is a huge gap between enemy being held at Gitmo without Habeas Corpus and getting a trial on US soil. Common sense should prevail and standards should be set in the middle instead of the extreme swing we are seeing now.

Im afraid we have created an undo-able monster that will plague us for years. I wish we could keep our eye on the ball but we are seemingly more worried about how the enemy is treated and adjudicated than our own security and sovereignty.

This is why I'm scared for my kids.
We are seeing the destruction of this once great country right before our eyes.
We would rather treat our enemies well and hope they like us, no different than the idiot in the white house apologizing for everything.
That is getting us no where fast, we are becoming weaker every day.
This country is being dismantled piece by piece in almost every aspect.

Clearly anyone picked up off of the battlefield would be labeled terrorist or enemy so in that respect it is no different.
This is also not a conventional war, clearly there are no written standards for groups like Al Quada compared to fighting a country.
I wish things were different, I wish 9-11 would have never happened.
I think most people don't understand how successful terrorists of 9-11 were at helping destroy the country.
Amazingly, it seems American's are finishing off what the terrorists didn't do through political correctness,
    etc.

Spot on. Sadly, it's the way things are over here now for the sake of the "bigger picture".

Forget who the captive was for a moment. These professional, highly-trained Elite Soldiers were given orders. They disobeyed those orders, and then lied about it. How can any ex-military man defend that?

We face tough enemies and scumbags all of the time. That doesn't mean that discipline in the ranks should break down because of it. Every soldier knows that there are consequences to disobeying orders. These guys were just cowards because they were too scared to tell the truth, and thus dug a deeper hole. Hell, it's like this in all professions, Civilian and Military. Go against policy and then lie = consequences.

Now excuse me while I burn a candle, and lament the loss of greatness of this Country, and curse Obama and the Libruls', because of three bad soldiers.
