....as has been the topic of discussion on talk radio and print media.
Last year we watched a team that made the words "big play" almost as common as "first down" on both offense and defense.

On offense: Devery caught long balls against AU, OM, and probably others
    that I can't remember.
On Defense: I didn't look up the number of TO's but Corey had about 7 pics
by himself. Lavalais was a one man wrecking crew.

As I sat in Tiger Stadium Sat. night I noticed how the crowd ethusiasm increased dramatically after CW's controversial "no call" INT. After that, it was all over, the crowd was treated to another Big play in Spears/Vaughn fumble TD.

I really believe that what's been lacking this year is the big play, the momentum changer, the one that everyone talks about at the coffee pot the next Monday at work. Last year we expected it to happen, this year it's been about has rare as the albino alligator.

Saban has mentioned this a few times, he really stresses to the players to make those big plays because he knows how much momentum can mean. And I agree 100%.

No doubt it has effected the games, the fans, the momentum and the overall excitement. Especially the lack of deep passes being completed.

Constant 3 and outs will also drain a crowd and has contributed to the problem as well.
