This will be my first time being responsible for Thanksgiving dinner and because there will be only 3 of us I'm going to make it a mini-Thanksgiving dinner.

But I need some recipes from you all for the casseroles and such.

I also thought this would be a good idea for the chefs to share their favorite holiday recipes.

    Our Menu
    Fried turkey- Bama Boy
    Squash casserole

    Green bean casserole
Rice dressing (Dirty Rice for you out of towners)
    Bread- Probably crescents

Dont have the recipes but I am sure you could find some around. My mom always makes Artichoke Casserole, Oyster Dressing, and Shrimp and Eggplant Casserole.

    We always have the norm:

Turkey, dressing...whatever else. But I hate Thanksgiving food and I know I am in the very small minority. If these people were introduced to ribeyes and boiled shrimp back in the day I wouldn't have to eat no damn bird. :po:

Don't have recipes at work, but when I get home I will share some. About 7 years ago my Mom spent an entire year making me a recipe box. She hand wrote every family recipe from both sides of the family and included any story that came with it. There are some great recipes and storys in this box. Actually with the diverse group we have here I might get home and share some of the storys and recipes from that box here. I think some would really enjoy them!

Breakfast. Well you see, there is ham and then there are those damn eggs. The ham is dedicated, breakfast means everything to the ham. Those damn eggs aren't dedicated like hams. The chicken just drops them off and hauls ass.

It is bigger my Dad has 7 brothers and sisters and they each had at least two kids sometimes up to 4 kids, most of them have now had kids also and then add the family of all the people that married into the family and everybody brings at least one dish!

There is Thanksgiving, 3 tables of food and 2 of desserts!

But everybody is an LSU fan! You will fit in perfectly but it is a little intimidating at first!
