All the TV guys get to give keys to the game, so I thought I would take a shot.

i think the key to this game for both teams is Ole Miss' o-line vs LSU's defensive line. I am not even talking blitzes yet. If Lavalias and Spears can penetrate their O-line like they did against Auburn and Bama, this game will be a blowout. This will enable us to disguise more blitzes when needed and thouroughly confuse Archie Jr.

If their o-line can contain Lavalias and Spears, we run a huge risk of gettig burned when we do blitz.

I think our offense will score at will against them, first by air, then on the ground after they top puting 7 or 8 guys in the box. We will score atleast 35 pts on Ole Miss....mark this thread!

Do ya'll have any keys you would like to share? Rebel fans are welcome...just no smack talk on this thread please.

    Other Key

Good points, and I think you are correct.

    Another key will be this:

I figure Cutcliffe knows our D line and blitz will wipe him out, and if Eli gets hit a few times too many he may not be able to compete. So, in looking at the Georgia game and a few others, I think Ole Miss will concentrate heavily on quick three-step drop passes, and also bubble screens. The bubble screen has been a weakness of our D. With blitzing, if the one corner covering the screen is blocked, there is no one behind him to stop the score. Georgia did it well for a 90+ yard gain for TD.

How is it that every LSU fan anaylisis ends with it will be a blowout. 67 - 13. Give me a break. Why then is LSU only favored by 6.5, not 27 or 35 but 6.5. The experts who take the big bets in Vegas believe this game will go into the 4th quarter undecided. I do to, I understand the irrational exuberance of fan expectation, but you guys better come down to earth soon or your really in for a big letdown even if LSU wins a close game. Lets be real.

One of the "key's" is how we handle screen plays and "anti-blitz" plays. I'd be willing to bet that at least 40% of ole miss's yards will be on screen plays and the like.

So why don't you go to Vegas and bet your house? All you have to give is 6.5 points.

Because when our offense is playing well, we can score a lot of points, and when our defense is playing well, the other team doesn't score very many points. And many times this season both offense and defense have played well at the same time.

    I totally agree with GG:

We had better be ready for quick passes and bubble screens.
A little bit of our own medicine could be used against us.

To answer your question JohnnyReb we are ranked #3 in the
    nation for a reason.

Our D is ranked #1 for a reason and our offense isn't too bad
    either.

Our draft class the last few years isn't too bad either.

I don't remember your draft class being up there

Most people think we have throughbreds and you have horses

In my opinion the only team that can beat LSU for the next 3
    games is LSU.

We will find out soon enough!!!!
    :)
