I have to admit my trip to LSU was nothing at all what I heard it was like. I enjoyed everything, with the exception of the last 34 minutes of the game. Before I left, I heard how rude the fans were, how ugly the campus was and how opposing fans should be fearful and walk in packs. Understanding it was a day-game, the LSU fans I encountered were great. My friend and I walked all over campus by ourselves for about an hour before the game and was only heckled once, and even it wasn't bad, and we walked through herds of LSU tailgaters. The campus, the people and the stadium were all nice. I even had a few LSU fans who moved up in their seats and sat be me to get a better view of the game. At first I was like 'great, I have to sit by LSU fans and won't be able to enjoy the game.' In fact, they were great and very courteous and thoughtful. They didn't say a negative word about our team. Before the game, a fan even helped my friend and I find the stadium and talked to us for about 15 minutes about our team and the state of our program, telling us 'It will get better.' Great trip. Thanks guys. I know there are always bad apples, but for me on my first trip, I didn't encounter them. Good luck the rest of the season and rip up Eli's army and Ole Miss. You guys have a good team, much, much better than Tubby's Auburn team. As good as Oregon. Good Luck. And see you in Starkvegas next year.
Thanks freddog23. I wish you guys the best of luck too. Your team is a little low on depth right now. Jackie Sherill is a good coach and I am sure he will turn it around again.
I'm glad you had a good trip. If you liked the atmosphere Saturday, you will LOVE it for a night game. Don't believe the nay-sayers - LSU is the BEST place to see a game, for the home team AND the visiting team.
