    Let's see...

I hear show after show from the Democrats about Bush being a Uniter and
not a divider then some of the same people won't vote for Roberts.
They don't want any conservative of any kind on the Supreme Court, not
even middle of the road conservatives.

I also hear from the Maverick Republicans such as Arlen Spector that the
next nominee should be more of a centralist or something.
If Roberts is too conservative for these Democrats to vote for who isn't?

I think its a bunch of sh!t myself.
The Republicans were voted into office for a reason, control the House, Senate and White House and won't push the conservative agenda because
they are too weak kneed at times.

The Democrats are voted in at times and are treated quite differently when
    their nominees appeared before Congress.
I have no problems with whoever is voted in controlling the courts but it sure
    seems tilted at times.

I don't think the left would support anybody unless they are already on the left.

    Yes... the reason is Diebold.

Roberts is a "middle of the road conservative"? How can you tell, when he won't answer questions, and when his own writings have indicated otherwise?

Do you honestly feel that a man whose wife is an anti-abortion activist will honor Roe v. Wade? Do you honestly believe that a man who wrote against equal pay for women and affirmative action is a "middle of the road conservative"?

What's "middle of the road" to you?

its a conpiracy so deep, you cant even imagine. in fact all the conservative southern red state bush voters here, they actually voted democrat, but the conspiracy with diebold changed their votes. nobody actually votes republican, they secretly are democrats.

First of all I'm
I'm going to mark this day down on my calender, Rex finally responded to a
    post that I wrote.

I don't believe in Conspiracies that big, no way it can be kept a secret.
Well, he seemed to help gay people at some time for starters.

How can you tell from either side when they don't answer questions?
Clinton nominated an ex-ACLU lawyer to the Supreme court and she was
appointed, Did she answer any questions?
    What was her name again?

    It's pro-life not Anti-abortion.
Rex, Do you have any children?

Confession: My wife is a democrat that wasn't pro-life until we had our first
    child.
I don't think I've ever met anyone who had children that wasn't pro-life.

I don't believe Roberts is against equal pay for women.
    Affirmative Action?
I'm against that I don't know about Roberts.
Hiring people because of skin color instead of their qualifications is just wrong
not to mention if you hire a bunch of dumb people for important jobs because
you only look at color, that could destroy a company or country.

The whole point was the democrats as a whole won't support a middle of the road conservative, Reid, Shumer and Hillary will always vote against them.
This includes the whole Fillerbuster situation.
They wouldn't even vote and up or down like the Constitution says they should, that is flat wrong!

When the Republicans Fillerbuster is also wrong in my book btw.
The countries business doesn't get done and those bastards in Wash DC
    still get their monies.

I don't really trust anyone in Washington DC anymore but I have no choice
but to play the game by going to the voting booth.

You need to get out more. There are tens of millions of parents who favor abortion rights, including myself.

You still haven't defined what "middle of the road conservative" means.

Maybe but I don't hang out with Democrats at all other than a few inlaws.
We don't have much in common when it comes to politics.

I don't know if I can define it , I'm definitely not middle of the road.
I guess you could say its some of the Mavericks in the Republican party.
    I don't know.

I believe in the platform of the party.
    Pro-life, Pro-gun, Pro-Military and Defense.
I think people should stick to party principles or be called independants if they
    don't, not Republicans or Democrats.
