Got it... Are you saying he didn't earn them? Don't give me the "swiftvet garbage" those guys did not serve on his boat. You guys make me sick......PUKE
Bush approval up to 53% - not looking good for Kerry. This is a pre convention poll by the way. Go to drudge if you want to read about it.
Has anyone else noticed everytime they show Kerry and his lovely (bank account) bride, just how obvious it is, as to just who wears the pants in that family. Too pitiful for my taste......
I believe the swivt boat vet guys and the purple hearts are 2 separate issues. The doctors are stating that he missed a total of 1 days work for all 3 purple hearts. The swift boat guys are talking about his actions on the swift boats. 2 separate issues.
No Crawfish you do not get it. I said you do not "Win" medals, you "Earn" them. No one I know with a Purple Heart wanted to earn that medal. Most would have preferred not to have the opportunity to earn those medals as well. But our country places our soldiers in harm’s way and most perform with honor and dignity, and at the end of the day, they will be judged by their military peers. My family is a military family (The only two not to serve are my cousin and myself and we both went to college to play ball instead). No one in my family has ever listed that they won the Navy Cross, Silver Stars, Bronze Stars or DFCs on a resume. They don’t believe you trade on your medals. I have no right to criticize the way in which I have come to enjoy my Freedoms in this country. I never severed and I will never do less than thank all that have given for my Freedoms. The night John Kerry walked on that stage for his “coming out party” and saluted the American people and said “John Kerry reporting for duty” he opened up himself to his military peer group. If those that support John Kerry’s military performance have the right to sing his praises, then those that did serve have the right to express their opinion. Back to the purpose of my original comment… Medals are Earned and Not Won. I like to see our troops with a chest full of ribbons. And our government has ribbons for everything you can imagine. The troops know which ribbons to be proudest of and I am sure there are a lot of soldiers out there that do not want their DD-214 analyzed. It is a shame that citizens of our country are analyzing Kerry’s ribbons so carefully but do not trade on them if you do not want them scrutinized. :usaflagwa :laflagwav :lsug:
Wasn’t there a guy running for office (Congress incumbent or newbie) that got booted for putting a “V” on one of his ribbons, when in reality it was earned not under fire? I seem to remember this about 5 years ago.
There's a big difference between talking about John Kerry's ant-military and anti-intelligence record in the Senate, and the Democratic party calling the President of the United States of America a liar, thug, Nazi, war monger, racist, etc. Because of people like you who have "drank the Kool-Aid" and are incapable of understanding the War on Terror and it's direct connection to Iraq. Y'all's hatred for one man defeats your commen sense.
There was an Admiral that committed suicide about 5 years ago over a scandal involving a Combat "V" on one of his ribbons. When all was said and done, the guy was justified in having it, but by the time that came out, it was too late...the shame of the scandal had caused him to take his own life.
This would certainly be a much better country, if more Dem's had some "shame", certainly would be a lot less of em anyway! :thumb:
