this was a very very good documentary, not only on the lies of the moore left, but the performance of bush and the war in general. it wasnt delivered in an emotional, angry kind of pissed off and therefore less credible way. the movie just sensibly demonstrates the extent to which moore is a lair and just how terrible for america his mentality is. the whole thing was narrarated by ron silver, and the main interviewee is dick morris. other notables were mayor ed koch and some of the people who were misportrayed in 9/11. for example the soldier who had his arm blown off in iraq, and was in the moore movie, really felt betrayed by the way he was used. dick morris had some really amazing info on terror plots the patriot act has stopped, particularly an attempt on the brooklyn bridge. normally i am pretty critical of this kind of political stuff, but this was an all around great presentation. particularly ed koch, who i said what i hear on this board alot, from myself, sabanfan and sourdoughman, and others, that terrorism and security is the most stunningly important issue there is and aggressiveness and resolve is critical. also the movie drew some convincing lines between france and germany and iraq, and explained alot of the complications of oil/bush/clinton/carlyle group/saudi royalty relationships. the best thing was the detached, non-cheap sort of way they delivered information in the movie. using zell miller and ed koch helps alot. those guys arent blind partisan followers of bush. i give it a thumbs up. rent it. or steal it, i got it from bittorrent and burned a dvd. it probably is a little more entertaining if you saw fahrenheit 911, which i did. (i bought a pirated copy from an african guy on the street)
Thanks for the review. I don't usually like Dick Morris so I wasn't sure what it would be like or if it was even legitimate. I'll rent it this weekend.
i watched another propaganda piece, "stolen honor". i believe this is the one that whatever tv stations want to run to hurt kerry. and hurt him it will. stolen honor basically a longer, more credible version of those ads on tv where kerry talks about cutting off ears and how the american soldiers in vietnam are like genghis kahn (which he prounounces jenjis). anyways, a bunch of old fellers talk about how they were tortured hardcore, and shown the words of john kerry by their captors to prove they are evil and deserve the torture they are receiving. basically they are saying "cant john kerry shut his ****ing trap, we are getting tortured over here, and you are helping the enemy justify it by lying about our behavior!". like fahrenhype 911, the best part was the credibility of the people speaking. they all sounded intelligent, informed and right, and not politically motivated. i got the movie from bittorrent, it was the quickest download ever, presumably because it is so popular.
Martin, you said Ron Silver was the narator of Faren. 9/11. Isn't he conservative and wasn't he at the republican convention?
when you say "Faren. 9/11." i have no way to tell if you mean fahrenHEIT 9/11, or the opposition, fahrenHYPE 9/11. i have seen both. this thread is about fahrenhype. ron silver narrarated fahrenhype 9/11. silver is a former clinton supporter, who is now a pro-bush, dennis miller style, national-security-matters-most guy.
Whoops. I honestly had no idea there was a Farenhype 9/11...Guess I should have read closer...Confusion cleared, thanks...
