In terms of being unamerican and radical, this Ward Churchill guy has everyone beat. People like this deserve to be taken out.
Michael Moore is "unamerican" because he questions our current leadership? That's insane. Hell, the name of this forum is "free speech alley" I don't agree with too much Michael Moore has to say. You will find Millions of citizens that support our troops but believe we should NOT be in Iraq. :911:
And then there are those who will lie about what is going on to help put money in his pocket, even though it may be aiding the enemy. Michael Moore is NO American. If he choked on a Big Mac tomorrow and keeled over, so much the better.
I agree, his movie was pitiful. Bush this...Bush that... he had no solutions... I thought is documentary "Bowling for Columbine" was pretty good.
I disagree, I live near Denver and use to live a couple blocks from Lockheed Martin plant in Littleton, Colorado. Michael Moore made it sound like they were making nuclear missiles there at night and transporting them through the streets of Denver. It doesn't happen. That whole "documentary" was not even close to telling the truth! I will also say that Michael Moore is unamerican and anyone who thinks he only bashes Bush is incorrect. He is not for capitalism, while he makes money he is one that would want to do what he can do but wouldn't want you to have the same opportunity that he does. Just like other people, public schools wouldn't be good enough for his kids so he would send them to private schools while denying your right to do the same, just an example.
if my memory serves me right, moore referred to the guys who were killing our men in fallujah as "freedom fighters", who moore wanted to rise up and defeat the americans. dont quote me on that, but he said something very similar. well, thats nice, but it was a miserable pack of lies. i dunno about "taken out". the dude is certainbly a lunatic. i dunno why he cant be fired on the grounds of incompetence. yunno independent of the free speech angle. he would not be getting fired for his opinion, but rather the fact that he is wrong by any standard. like if a physics prof were making statements that 2+2 is 19 or that pluto is bigger than the sun. you just cant go being wrong and still having a job. i used to deal with people in the world trade center every day, and i am pretty sure none of them were little eichmanns. most of them were not even evil capitalist pigs. quite a few of them were immigrants who were very far from being greedy wall street evildoers. so i dont understand why churchill cant be fired, just on the basis that he doesnt have any idea what he is talkin about, independent of the disagreeable nature of his statements.
He can't be fired because he is union and has tenure. The ACLU is threatening a lawsuit if he is fired. Btw,I'm against unions after my experience at US Airways
i dont understand the tenure system. what if he was a math professor and he was teaching kids the wrong geometry formulas? can you just say anything? no matter how ridiculously wrong it is? it seems like if he denied the holocaust happened, or wanted a return to jim crow laws, they could find a reason to fire him.
According to a Colorado-Boulder professor on O'Reilly they may get him for fraud since he's an ethnic studies professor claiming to be Cherokee without a corpuscle of Cherokee in him.
