I almost hate to say this, but if this game happens it is time for skip to go. This kind of stuff is ok for baseball. I know this is coming from the newspaper, but why should they even suggest that Southern get more seats than visiting SEC schools. Then the newspaper adds that maybe this could be settled by moving the game to the Superdome. Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't Tiger Stadium hold around 20,000 more fans than the Superdome. Yea lets give up even more revenue just so Southern can get more tickets. This is the worst idea I have ever heard. LSU football is not a charity.
Another thought. Florida did play Florida A&M this year, so when our non-conference schedule adds teams like Florida State and Miami as Florida's does I would be more willing to accept a Southern game from time to time at Tiger Stadium with Southern getting the standard allotment of tickets. They do not need extra tickets after all we would be doing them a favor and giving them $400,000.
I'm sure if such a game was to take place Southern fans would have no problem buying up tickets, alot of LSU fans would not show up. IMO it would be a very low attendance....and this game would be a very bad idea.
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!! This is ridiculous. Southern has NO PLACE in Tiger Stadium. Don't they have another "classic" to play in? D1-A teams only! The athletic department should realize that by looking at LSU's HORRIBLE SOS this year.
