Scott Rabalais: Evidence mounting Les Miles coaching for his job next 2 weeks; three scenarios to decide his LSU fate, http://theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/14039284-93/scott-rabalais-evidence-mounting-les
Win out and he stays, seems I remember that conversation has occurred before. four - Win out and get blown away in the bowl - Gone or good?
win out and we're likely in the Sugar Bowl we could lose 51-0 and he'll be back for 2016, that BCS bowl pays out a shit ton of money.
Just start out with beating ole piss and take it from there. However I'm not even slightly confident we can do that after seeing that embarrassment last Saturday. In order to win the players are going to have to come out with a lot more fire than they have shown recently and the coaching staff is going to have to come up with an offensive gameplan, something they seem incapable of here recently. My main concern is, what is the offense going to look like next year?
Gonna learn a lot this Saturday. Then the speculation will really take off. I agree with Rablais, somehow this one isn't going to play out cleanly.
My sense after all of this is that the team rallies around Miles, and LSU does win out. As @bhelmLSU mentioned on the "How Miles can turn it around" thread, Miles has not lost the locker room or his staff. Maybe this turmoil lights the necessary fire.
Whether he wins out or wins one and gets to stay I don't see him doing well next year. Miles has lost the attitude and swagger that made LSU football elite. Miles lost the culture of coaching up the kids.
