I hope that Lane Mestepey's injury is not an issue for the Tigers. I suspect, and I may be wrong, that Smoke knew all along that Lane would not start against Miami today. I found it puzzling when it was anounced earlier this week that Lane would be the starter against Miami, a team with almost all right handed hitters. Could the bad blood between the two coaching staffs have anything to do with all of this? I sure hope so. If Lane does have a serious problem it would be a disaster for the Tigers.

I want to say this now...before the game is played. This is mainly directed at Miami's coach, Jim Morris. IF Miami wins tonight, it does not avenge the Morris home run in 96. We have that trophy in our case now and we will have it in our case tomorrow.

WHAT??? No WAY! So if we win today, we don't get the 1996 NC trophy? :bncry:

Ok, now to be serious: What a bunch of crap. The only ones still worried about 1996 are you guys. We are worried about 2004. Stop living in the past and please don't try to make a scapegoat-type post already. I'm only worried about tonight's game. 1996 is over and done with...it was 8 years ago.

I'm glad to see the confidence you have and how you showed it with your post. :thumb:

I'm hoping Smoke is blowing smoke...I think without Mestepey we are in for a tough haul.

Go ahead and defend that cheap shot your team took at us during the game.
I can't wait to hear this.

Worried??? I'm not worried. I don't give a crap if Miami thinks beating us tonight would be some sort of retribution. I do think it was funny when Morris said that he was designing the championship ring in his head when Warren hit the winner for LSU.

I guess he's one of those guys that loves jewelry.

Good game last night Tigers. :thumb:

LSU played well early, but seemed to run out of gas in the middle innings. That's the book on Cesar, he starts slow and will allow some early runs, but then settles in to a nice groove.

Maybe we'll see the Tigers again, down the road.

    Good game also.

Miami beat us soundly. You have a good team and hopefully we will get another shot at the Canes :thumb:

From the look of the CSF-USC game yesterday, I think we'll see LSU again before all is said and done.
