Miles - "I'm going to be the coach at LSU next season."

Thank goodness they've put out a press release that is intended to squelch once and for all all the rumors. Miles is staying at LSU.:milesmic:

CFLive on ESPN just read the news release. He was only helping out UM with advice about the new HC.

 

I hate to say I told you so, but if the shoe fits.......And MAN, I sooo do love shoes!!!:grin:

 

I love how the story began this morning that Miles and Michigan had a phone conversation. Then as the day progressed, it suddenly grew into Miles contacted Michigan to talk about their coaching vacancy. Then, all of a sudden, it was an interview for the position.

It took Bob Griese of all people, to say on College Football Live that he felt it was nothing more than Miles doing what he said he was going to do, which was help his alma mater find a head coach.

 

Now we can focus on opening up a big ol can of whoop-ass on the buckeyes!

 

Glad to see this put to rest... until next week when it will undoubtedly surface again because some hater would rather start rumors than just accept the man for his word.

 

'By saying "next season", does Miles mean next "football season" or next "recruiting sesaon" ? His words could be interpreted to mean that he will bolt to Michigan in February 2008.' KH

 

This won't end until they hire their new coach, which they need to do and should have done by now.

It's been official for 3 weeks and was unofficial for roughly a year now.

 

Yeah but who wants to coach for $42.12/year?? lol
