I agree. Really too good to be true. If he wants to leave, he better go now cause his leverage will only get worse.

I don't think he is going. I just thought it was interesting. The only thing I can think would be the deciding factor is expectations, or personal reasons(i.e. Is his wife from Co, etc.??)

Here's an extract from an article in todays Rocky Mountain News:

Barnett said he had received no indication he would not coach the Buffs in their 27th postseason appearance (12-14).

"Do you know something I don't?" he asked when that question was posed during a bowl teleconference Sunday afternoon.

Asked the same question, CU athletic director Mike Bohn answered, "We don't have any announcement related to anything like that."

Barnett said he spoke with Bohn on Sunday morning before Bohn left for New York and national athletic directors meetings held in conjunction with a National Football Foundation gathering.

Barnett said their conversation centered on the bowl trip, with no discussion about long-range football plans or his future. When asked if he remained interested in a contract extension - CU officials and his representative began negotiations over a month ago, when the Buffs were 7-2 - Barnett answered, "Absolutely."

He is in the next-to-last season of a contract last extended in 2002.

As happy as some people would be, this would be a disaster for LSU, we dont need more instability right now.
