Michigan fans wishful thinking about Les Miles...

The people on the Michigan forum linked to this article on some idiots website. This is the stupidest article I think I have ever seen written on the internet, period. Huh? Pissed us off how? Two 11 win seasons? Must be some really good drugs in Michigan.

    Monday Morning Quarterback – 9/03

One has to wonder if Lloyd Carr can survive the disaster that was Saturday. Losing to a lesser opponent is one thing. Losing the way the Wolverines lost – and to a 1-AA opponent is mind-boggling. LSU coach and Michigan alum Les Miles was already on the radar, as many expected Carr to retire after the ’07 season. We’re pretty sure he’ll “retire” and we’re pretty sure Miles will be his replacement (unless he pulls a Carr over the next several weeks). Now, we’re sure there are those out there who will say: “LSU is a better job.” Or, “LSU won’t let him go.” Or, “LSU has a better recruiting area.” Well, one of the three is incorrect. LSU will let him go. Miles has pissed of more Cajuns than Nick Saban and Tommy Tuberville combined. In fact, if he decided to leave, we’re sure the locals would help him move!

So, if Miles leaves for the Big House, you replaces him? Our guess is FSU OC Jimbo Fisher, if the ‘Noles can get off to a fast start offensively this season.

I emailed him to tell him, though many were slow to warm-up to Miles, the overwhelming majority of LSU fans were in his corner now and I also gave him a link to our forum and invited him.

The propgaganda is starting in Michigan cause the writing it on the wall with Carr. I think Miles stays, if he does leave, it won't be about money.

People put too much weight on the money- it's about being where you want to be and being happy....first. The money difference we're talking about won't be the deciding factor imo.

As a certified, card-caryin', Cajun I can honestly say that not only has Miles not pissed me off, but that Saban and Tubby are so far ahead in the "pissing me off" department that Miles would have to knife mike in the dead of night this friday and blow up tiger stadium during next weeks game to get even close.

I was listening to "The Herd" on ESPN radio and the names he was throwing out were: John Gruden and Jeff Tedford as potential replacements for Carr.

...and in NONE of the Michigan-talk, did he even Les Miles' name.

Look, going back to coach at your alma mater isn't ISN'T everything.

I heard a little sports talk radio yesterday, and Coach Miles WAS mentioned by the commentator as a possible replacement for Lloyd Carr.

If Coach Miles's alma mater calls him, he will listen . . . and if the LSU football team does very well this season, Michigan will be calling Coach Les Miles.

Doesn't Coach Miles have a clause in his contract that allows him to break the contract if Michigan wants him?

Contracts can all be broken, but there's a buyout clause......ONLY for Michigan. :thumb:
