For anyone that watched the Tenn/UAB game, they interviewed Les Miles and at one point asked him how the team was handling the situation.

His response was that the team was doing well considering the circumstances and he said, "They're just ready to play a football game." He FURTHER went on to say that playing a game is perhaps a good thing for the people of the state.

SOOOOoooooo, all of the arguements between one another on this board about a "should we/shouldn't we" play is pretty much a moot point after hearing coach Miles' comments. If anyone is closer to the actual decision making process than coach Miles himself, and says otherwise, THEN I'll start believing that we aren't going to play in Tiger Stadium next weekend.

Now, I do realize that things can change, but it was pretty obvious that Miles (and probably others involved in the process) believe that the team is ready, and the fans need it to happen.

It is sad that it took Miles to say it for us to finally understand that it would be good for the state...

Yeah, I heard Miles during the game.....
And I agree. Watching this destruction in New Orleans 24 hours a day is starting to get depressing. I'm sure glad that football season started. And I will be expecially more happy to see LSU next week in Death Valley!!!

Even if LSU puts a ban on certain motorhome lots, or restricts the size of motorhomes in an attempt to conserve space, and do their very best to reduce traffic as much as possible, then I feel that there is going to be enough parking available around the campus (and down River Road) to accomodate.
