In the minds of fans if these rumors turn out true about Crowton and Campo.

The thing that bothers me though is that not filling the staff yet has got to be hurting us in recruiting.

I would rather him make a pragmatic decision on something this important, rather than rush it for a small bump in recruiting.

As I understand it, we're getting to the end of the dead time for recruiting, so the last week hasn't hurt much, if any.

I agree that the dead period is making this not as bad. But we're talking about a bunch of really good athletes that, at this point, have no clue who they are going to be playing for if they come to LSU.

this just gives them to much to think about, and possibly become uncomfortable with.

I think that our teams is young enough (16 starters will return for next season) to handle even a recruiting year that's below our capabilities for one year.

Having said that though, I don't think we're going to experience a "drop off the face of the recruiting class" rankings. But like someone mentioned on another thread (I believe it was TigerEducated), we only have but 16-18 scholarships free to give this year. If our 9 verbal commitments stay true (and it's looking like they will), then we're half-way to our limit for the year.

Remember, in terms of recruiting, recruits can hurt themselves too. Programs aren't the only ones that risk "losing out". If recruits wait too long, then no matter how good they are, or how much they're in love with a program, once all the scholarships are given out, then it doesn't matter.

Miles will not go to anything 'great' until he wins his first SEC Title.

Even then....until he wins for 4+ years.....he will be "winning with Saban's players....oh, the list goes on

For now, lets just hope it takes longer than four years to find out if Miles is a good or bad coach! :thumb:

3 or more losses this year will send a signal loud and clear. Whether someone will be there to receive such a signal is another story.

We might have limited offers this year but with Saban gone we will see some transfers before signing day uping the size of our class. Matt Stoltz is already gone to AR so add 1 more. Didn't the X-man say transfering might be in his future? Would hate to see that but we could lose a few during the transition.

Les Miles is supposedly a players coach and so far recruits have said they love him. X-Carter said he would consider transferring if Miles doesn't allow him to do football & track. I'd imagine Miles would like to keep him around and will let him do both sports. I think the only people that will transfer is people that aren't getting the playing time they want and not concerning the coaching change.

What's the deal with Matt Stoltz? The name sounds firmiliar. position? Why is he transferring?

I think Matt is a redshirted freshman linebacker. Moving back to Arkansas to be near family and other personal reasons. At least I think that's right.
