The Dallas Morning News reports today that Miles and Bertman visited with the Cotton Bowl Committee Thursday night to promote LSU for the Dallas based bowl game just in case the Tigers lose tonight.

Interested in the comments from this board.

Not the kind of message I'd send to my team. I get the feeling that they wanted to keep it low profile, but it turned out otherwise.

  2. if thats true i would doubt that the kids will hear about it till after the game.

We didnt make a strong case on the field to be invited.

Maybe this was not a good idea.

It sort of says that your head coach and AD dont think much of your teams chances.

SEC office should have dealt with it.

This was a poor decision by our people.

This kind of thing happens all the time. Weither or not we want to admit it college football is a BUISNESS. And you have to have OH **** plans just like in any buisness. It is really no big deal! I would rather them have a back up plan to a good bowl then just ASSUME everything is gonna work out and get stuck at the Poulon Weedeater Bowl.
