The proof is in the pudding. We shall see what kind of cook Miles is. As of now, he could probably take things up a notch.

I don't have a problem with reasonable responses. And yes, his was a reasonable response. You're the hysterical one, chill the f out. What was so hysterical about what I said? Rhetorical question, but the answer is not a damn thing. Getting all hot and bothered about Perrilloux seems silly to me. Russell struggled yesterday and was hot merde coming out of high school. Football is a team sport and if you are depending on one player to make all the difference, maybe you aren't doing something right. Geaux tigers.

8 wins and 4 losses if we are lucky. Bama will be no give me. One thing is for sure we will definetly have another loss. We really aren't that bad but when you make stupid mistakes, you will lose.

I'm just pretty disgusted right now. At least with the Auburn game, I had the officials to blame. This was a total meltdown of the team. We got beat plain and simple.

I love guys like you that talk so much about recruiting. Uh, gents, talent means absolutely NOTHING without good coaching. Take a gander at Miami's last coupla teams. Do you really think the Canes will continue to recruit that kind of talent, too??? LSU has had talent for 10+ years (maybe more, but that's where I _really_ started following it). We're a perennial SEC underachiever, and only Saban turned that around. And he did it more with effective game strategy and keeping the players focused and disciplined than by any magic recruiting wand. Everyone always talks about how we've got a top 5 recruiting class, whereever the hell those estimates come from. I know, I know, the "experts", but still, latent potential won't result in execution without coaching. And despite being undeniably LOADED with talent this year, this team hasn't executed under Les Miles & Co. Blowing out Mississippi State with big stats means NOTHING when you can't win a tough game (especially maddening when, before our turnovers/mental mistakes, we were DOMINATING Florida). And yes, this game was the coaching staff's fault. Special teams mistakes (continuing to muff kicks & field punts inside the 10???) and penalties are all the coaches' fault. And I personally feel that continuing to play the talented yet woefully inconsistent Russell over the more balanced Flynn (when the defense and the rest of the offense has enough talent to win games without a big play QB) is ALSO foolish coaching...

Unfortunately it will take a few years until Les burns through the current talent pool and piles on enough losses (ala Dinardo) for Skip to give him the boot, and then we've gotta hope for another Saban-esque rainmaker to come and rebuild the team again.

While I'm at it, how come Florida gets Urban Meyer, Notre Dame gets Charlie Weis, hell even USC has Pete Carroll & Pitt has Dave Wannstedt (IOW, all NFL-caliber coaches) while we get Iowa State's coach? I shouldn't complain about that, as I wasn't sold on Saban at first either (Michigan St. was also a perennial underachiever, and I didn't think we needed more of that), but I can see if one looks deeper they can see there was more to Saban than the Spartans. I don't see that with Les. Considering our pocketbook (we had the highest paid coach in the land in 2004), I don't understand why we didn't land a premier guy like Meyer instead of Miles, who's respectable but definitely a notch lower.

Finally, comparing Zook to Miles may be fair; hey, Zook inherited talent and underachieved. So you say he kept recruiting up or even improved it. But he still couldn't COACH a team up to expectations. Fine, I hope Miles does the same by keeping recruiting high or improving it. Then I hope we fire him for a coach that knows good game strategy and will discipline his players to be OVERACHIEVERS...

its become a sad point where we have to seperate the players into "Sabans' talent" and Miles " Talent". it doesn't freakin matter, they are all from Louisiana or the south and they all play for LSU. All of the haters just need to have patience, if all y'all had it your way, we would have a new head coach and coaching staff after every loss. Florida is a very good team, its not like we lost to UAB or Ole Miss :nope:

The start of this season EVERYONE was saying LSU would go 9-3 or 10-2. That's where we're at right now. Exactly what is the issue? We all want to see our team win, but with some very severe unanswered questions about OL / Running and Special Teams this wasn't going to be our year anyway. Deal with it, but stop calling for heads this early on.

You posted this contradiction at 8:51 this morning. Saban did not invent LSU Football, and LSU Football is not a perennial underachiever. Take a "Gander" at LSU's ALL-Time Winning Percentage in college football. :dis:
