I was on campus today taking my son to see Mike. While there, one of his handlers showed up to feed him and medicate his paws (just lotion for dryness). He told us that the Sugarbowl is not allowing LSU to bring Mike this time. I assume the guy was telling us the truth, since he was a handler. He said that Emmert might have to raise a stink to get Mike into the game. Maybe the Sooners want equal time and no one knows what the heck a "Sooner" is...maybe it's a guy with a $exual dysfunction? As a side note, a reporter from the Jasper, Indiana paper was there and took a few pictures of my nephew that may end up in their paper (and online, too). My mother got the website address of the paper (www.dcherald.com). The article is set to run on January 4th. The reporter told us that Jasper is very excited about Matt's success at LSU.
I say we let Mike run loose in the Oklahoma locker room for a little pregame humor...perhaps the idiots at the Sugar will let us do that, who knows.
I can't imagine the Sugarbowl would forbid the home state team to bring their mascot? This needs to hit the media...how do we get this on ESPN?? Does the Sugarbowl really want more negative publicity in light of this BCS mess?
No matter what we say.............. The animal activists would be on the other side counteracting anything we said and did though. Unfortunately...............................................
Mike The Tiger is tiger fan #1. It will be a shame if he doesnt get to witness the National Championship game. They wil probably try to make him buy a ticket. I say let him loose and see which ticket person is going to deny him entry. Geaux Tigers
If Mike can't go, we'd better not see that stupid little covered wagon being pulled by shetland ponies.
Mike has not traveled to a road game for a long time. The last time he traveled, his trailer flipped over on Airline Highway, hence the reason he does not travel to road games.
