Why are companies like Wal-mart and Target not saying Merry Christmas anymore? These companies make millions off of Christmas every year yet they will not acknowledge it.:dis:
Who would be offended by a sign in the USA saying Merry Christmas?
If I were in France I would not get my feelings hurt because of a sign that said Happy Ramadon (or what ever the heck it is).
This is America for goodness sake.

there is no debate. private companies say "happy holidays" voluntarily so they can be inclusive to everyone, whether they love jeebus or wear yamahas on their heads or respect rammydon. there is not a problem. i am not offended if they say they love kwanzaa or if they say nothing at all. are you? i dont think anyone is.

Kwanzaa is a cool holiday. you get to light candles, make papier-mache, eat maize, and good stuff like that.

I got a card from a Jewish friend that said "Merry Christmukkah". Like Taco pizzas, there is a lot of cultural blurring going on in America.

I think that is very interesting, especially from a Jewish person who is commanded to be as intolerant as possible towards other religious beliefs.

I was looking to avoid being an intentional obfuscator. I have had that problem in the past.

Well they come in many flavors. This particular Jew is proud of his heritage, but doesn't get carried away with it. I've been served BBQ pork ribs at their house and they aren't the least bit anti-Christian.

Christianity is a Jewish sect, after all. Christians hold Jewish commandments, venerate Jewish prophets, revere Jewish holy books, and worship a Jewish God.
