    How many agree with giving this guy a bonus of 10 million dollars because he approved a merger that saved the company? Id give him 100k to 500k in a bonus and tell him to stfu.

    CEO pay should be approved by the stockholders, not the board's compensation committee. Then watch the golden parachutes disappear.

    I'd tell him sure, but only if he plans to distribute it to all the employees. I really get sick when people expect to get paid extra for doing what they are already getting paid for. You want to be paid extra, do something extraordinary.

    What a clown. The guy made 8 times the average bonus for people in similar jobs last year and the company was about to go under? Now he wants another 10 Mil? Idiocy...

    Thain bonus in 2007 - 15 Mil
    Median Bonus his field - 2 Mil

    Total 2007 income - 15.75 Mil
    Median income his field - 8.99 Mil

    He also has 24 Mil in stock.

    Give me a freakin break.
