This article is at LSUsports.net BATON ROUGE -- The LSU men's basketball team continued to add to its already strong recruiting resume' of recent times by receiving Thursday the national letter-of-intent papers from Glen Davis of University High in Baton Rouge. The 6-8, 320-pound Davis has been rated near the top in the country by such recruiting services as Rivals.com and Bob Gibbons of All-Star Sports. Davis has earned consecutive Class 2A All-State honors, leading U-High to back-to-back Top 28 appearances; including the state championship in 2001-02 with a 32-4 record. He's averaged more than 23 points per game the past two seasons for the Cubs, last year's state semifinalists. "We are extremely excited about Glen Davis joining our basketball team and family," said LSU Coach John Brady. "We envision Glen having an immediate impact on our team. He obviously has the size, but in addition possesses great hands and surprisingly quick feet for a person of his physique. He has been well coached in high school by Ari Fisher and understands what winning is all about. With the signing of Glen, it continues to give us a collection of talented young players." Davis enjoyed tremendous showings in some of the country's top AAU tournaments over the summer and individual showcase events such as the NBA Players Association Top 100 Camp and ABCD Camp. The U-High senior had also starred at the school in football before deciding to concentrate on just basketball this year.
Hmm.. no posts by the T posse on this article.. Oh my bad, it is a positive for the LSU basketball program which would never draw a response from our "eeyore" contingent.
Where is TE and TuWho? Maybe TE can find out Who John slept with last Tuesday. Coach Brady has done an outstanding job the last 5 seasons while LSU has been on probation. We have been to two NCAA tournaments and he has recruited very well. Looks like another top class is shaping up this season. Congrats to Brady and the Tigers. I look forward to see how this team performs with no more limitations. I don't care about the 6-8 guys who have left the program over the last 5 years. If they were any good we would have heard about them by now.
Wow, watch out for Bass and Davis on the floor together next year. I can't wait for Tasmin Mitchell. That is if he doesn't go to the NBA. Well anyway, the point is that the future of LSU Basketball is awfully bright.
