Yeah he is a sophomore but it is his first year of playing if I am not mistaken. So that's a good point.
Initally I was kind of hoping Mauck would ride off into the sunset and give our 2 phenoms a chance. I must have eaten a retard sandwich right before that. With the 3 road games we have at the beginning of next season, I think we need Mauck to do it again. Then we can play the phenoms during mop up duty, and get them some touches. I am now really hoping Mauck comes back.
Well, I think there are several instances of a first year player (not necessarily a freshman) leading a team to a national championship. Tee Martin comes to mind the year after Peyton graduated. That said, I'd like to see Matt come back, too.
