Why the suggestions that he should be sitting out series? Do we want to risk our momentum/continuity? I think Mauck is imperfect. We are all imperfect. However, he has proven himself to be a leader and winner.

Furthermore, the criticisms of Jimbo Fisher are ridiculous too. This guy has molded our team offense to one of the best around. I believe he has optimized the talent on hand. Perhaps we have an "inflated opinion" of the talent we have on hand. We are basing our views on the "recruiting ratings". It's about productivity at the college level. I don't for one second believe the coaches are hermitically sealing talent and stockpiling it for some long range plan. Saban says he want the 22 best players on the field. The age and classification is not an obstacle. I believe Saban. Jimbo Fisher is being mentioned as HC timber. Do we want to alienate him prematurely by unfair and ignorant criticism? I don't think so.

Mauck is giving LSU the "finest hour" we have seen since the "highlight years" of Dietzel/McClendon/Arnsparger. The phenomenal recruiting success stories are absolutely unprecedented. It will only get better. Negativity and criticism is not to our benefit. It will, if continue, be to our detriment. It's time we learn to cheer and leave the coaching and playing to the coaches and players respectively. Capiche?

Mauck is the guy we are going to ride all they way out. Its too risky to do bring in Randall even for a series. That whole philosophy cost Georgia a shot at a title. It may work but I just dont like it.
