Matt Mauck leaving for dental school? PTI says yes

    Anybody else know anything about this? I have seen no official news from any source confirming it. But they said he is foregoing his senior season to attend dental school. I hope this is untrue.

    From what I saw Jetstorm I think they just mentioned what we all already know. That he is considering it.

    I heard something about this on ESPN a while ago.

    I think its all rumors, why would this stuff be happening when
    we have the biggest game of our lives ahead of us?

    we need to be concentrating on the game ahead instead of
    this happening.(players)

    I'm not too worried if Matt leaves because its going to happen
    sooner or later and it would be kinda good to get this over
    with and see what Flynn and Russell can do.

    I'm not saying I want him to leave just yet but then thiers
    always reality ahead.

    I would wager a bowl of gumbo that we would know any and everything regarding LSU before the talking heads on PTI, Around the Horn, or Sports Reporters.

    Never said he was, read

    this morning that he is undecided... Nothing in solid about him going..and not coming back.

    We will not know until after the National Championship game = if we win, that could be the disclosure!

    I thought they posed the question on PTI as would it be a good/smart thing to do. And Tony said yes, that there was more long term money in it than trying to go pro. Actually they have talked about Mauck before in high regard on this show, commenting on how smart he is as well as good football player. But like everything on PTI, it is usually just a comment on and then they move on.

    PTI isn't a source of anything reliable. They just rehash rumors.

    You're probably right, but two national titles under your belt wouldn't be too shabby.

    it isn't a fact

    PTI gets things wrong so often they have an on-screen fact checker to correct them. Believe me, Tony Kornheiser has no idea. He gets his "info" from gossiping with his buddies, and he's a nice guy but he doesn't know or really care.
