http://www.geauxmag.com/foley/?p=9 Great little article... basically says that right now the qbs are about even... Flynn has the better touch and mobility, while Russell has better arm strength and experience... The authors conclusion is that at this rate the decision that will determine the starter will be the type of offense that Miles wants to run... with a drop back passer, throwing deep outs and quick strikes, or with a mobile guy who can throw across the middle and touch passes (sounds familiar)...
This race really is very close... Whomever wins the job... I wish them the best... All we need is someone serviceable, b/c lords knows we will be able to run it with the best of em.
Whatever happened to ryan Perriloux? When he was recruited, he was deemed the savior of LSU football, and now no one even mentions him. Russell and Flynn are both good QBs, but RP has the potential to be one of the greats. I can fully understand if he isn't the opening day starter, but once he gets his feet wet, the sky's the limit. I would hate to see him get red-shirted, because chances are in 3 years he's gone to the NFL.
flynn is the better runner and short pass guy currently. whats your issue there? nothing like a mag wanting to be top shelf yet lost spellcheck. nice editors.
RP made a HORRIBLE decision coming to LSU... he should have gone somewhere like georgia where next year HE's the guy... I mean, who's to say he gets to play before his SR year here? bad choice RP
tell me why that's not a good statement? there are two all-world recruits in front of him... only one year ahead of him. sure we all think LSU is the best place to go but I guarantee he doesnt plan on being in college for 4 years. why go somewhere you're not even guaranteed to play? try to answer in words instead of silly internet cursing abbreviation. :dis:
My issue is with "deftly picking apart the defenses." If he could do THAT, we probably wouldn't have lost a game last year. This dude makes him sound like Steve Young and I'm pretty sure he's not, hence, lost credibility.
nope, serious... why was coming here a good decision? sure it's a good program, but he may not even touch the ball for a couple years.
