I was just watching TV (Fox 8), and former LSU defensive end Marquise Hill got in a jet ski accident last night and has gone missing in Lake Ponchartrain. The coast guard rescued a woman that was with him, and they are still looking for him. Things do not look too good though; they found some of his clothes floating around. Nothing is official yet though. Channel 6 didn't even mention his name yet. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers today, and please wear a life vest if you are on watercraft.
wwltv.com has a small story on it and at the top in breaking news is reporting that Hill is the man they are looking for.
Well, its not looking good, he has been missing since last night. All my prayers go out to him and his family and hope things turn for the better.
He's been missing since 9:30 p.m. last night. The last press release from search crews was at 8:30 a.m. this morning and they had not yet found him. Let's pray for a miracle.
Crazy thing about it was that they were riding jet skis at night without life jackets. Man, that's just inviting trouble. They did say that Marquise is in great shape and is a strong swimmer. Hopefully, he made it to shore and is just lost in the marsh somewhere.
I have heard a report that he jumped in to try and save the girl he was with. Can anyone there corroborate? If they can't find him alive, what a tragedy.
I believe there were two separate accidents last night. I heard that a man jumped into the lake to help his wife but drowned. I also heard that his body has been found. I think that one occurred on the northshore. (Don't quote me becuase I'm still half asleep.)
