I have been out of town for the holidays and may have missed comments about this. If it has already been posted I apologize. After the UF-FSU fiasco, Saturday, Mark Trev & Fowler were talking about #2. May said that USC is the better team and that if LSU played USC today(get this)...."USC would win by three touchdowns" :dis: :dis: :dis: WTF??!?!? Is he nuts? Has he paid attention to our defense?!? And I always thought Trev was the biggest idiot on TV. That comment even made Fowler and Trev laugh because it was sooooo ridiculous!:cuss: :cuss:
Bear in mind that Mark May is talking out of his butt because his mouth knows better. I mean, that's a real brave prognostication on his part, considering the fact that he knows that matchup isn't going to come off, anyway.
My opinion: ESPN is affiliated with the BCS, so they are doing their best to cover there a$$ so when LSU doesn't get in they won't hear about how LSU was screwed.
ESPN = ABC = Ratings = 2nd largest TV Market = USC being their choice = $$$$$$$ vs. what is right. when things seem out of kilter... follow the money.. (that was from some movie... The sting maybe?)
Almost makes you wish that LSU would lose to Georgia and USC to Oregon St so Mich would jump to the Sugar and LSU and USC could fight it out in the Rose. Notice I said ALMOST.
Yeah, the only problem with that is Georgia has an even 50-50 chance of leaping over idle Michigan into 2nd in the BCS should they beat LSU and USC lose. Georgia would finish ahead of Michigan in at least 5 computer polls, and their QW of both LSU and Tennessee would offset Michigan's QW of Ohio State. Also Georgia's projected SOS will be .60 vs. Michigan's .52. Georgia would need only the AP or Coaches poll to put them ahead of Michigan. It's amazing, but the LSU/Georgia game could be for the Sugar Bowl if USC loses their early 3:30 game.
