Few is much better than Brady. They also have a vital piece of basketball players. They got kids that can shoot. Other than Mitchell we have no 3 point threat. Every good team has a great shooter. Duke, St. Joes, Conn even Kentucky has the kid that comes off the bench. Few has brought that program to national prominence, much like Saban has done for us. Congrats to Few. He has also stuck around with the program that gave him his shot.
He's loyal to Gonzaga. I have tons of respect for Mark Few. Those Gonzaga students are starting to support their team like crazy. They had atleast 1000 make the trip from Spokane to Santa Clara for their conference tourny.
One thing's for certain...the Zags can't sneak up on anybody in the field of 64 anymore. They're among the elite now.
That's the good ole SabanFan that we know best - open mouth insert foot. Bet you did not know that Gonzaga was put on probation in 1998 for 4 years. Just another fine example of a quick reflect response to any post that has a negative theme. Here comes superhero SabanFan to the rescue. Not only can John Brady not hold Mark Few's jockstrap, he would not even be comparable to a pimple on Mark Few's a$$. Comparing Mark Few's career and John Brady is ludicrous.
Indeed! What John Brady has done at LSU is AVERAGE AT BEST. The excuses are garbage. Any good coach SHOULD keep the IN-STATE stars at LSU. Now, how can you not question Brady for losing great point guards like Hollis Price (OU ans St Aug. of N.O.), Antoine Landry (ULL and De La Salle of N.O.), and Bo McCalebb (UNO and O.P. Walker of New Orleans) when we see the non-factor starting for us that Brady went all the way to Georgia to get (Whipple)? In fact, ULL has more overall talent on their roster than LSU; that should never, ever happen. Also, it is unacceptable to have an average of 2 players per season transfer out of the program...especially when you have scholarship restrictions while on probation. And, why has Hudson regressed as a player over the course of his career? Look, Brady is not awful, but he is clearly not good enough. Let's remove Joe Dean's last remaining mistake and elevate LSU basketball to the level our other teams aspire to. NOTE: I will continue to root like hell that I am wrong and that the Tigers win every game they play. But, things don't look good to me.
I was wrong. Mea culpa. I was unaware that Gonzaga was on probation in 1998. In fact, I was unaware that there even was a Gonzaga in 1998. I couldn't tell you the name of Gonzaga's coach before this thread. I am having a trophy made up for Sabretooth proclaiming he is the winner of the Nail SabanFan for liking Brady award.
