With martial law established, does anyone think guns will be pulled or heaven forbid, used on stubborn individuals?

Obviously, the people still in New Orleans are easily categorized as:
    1) people who chose not to leave
    2) people who didn't have the means to leave
    3) reporters, rescue workers, cops, etc.

2 & 3 will have no problems, but if 1 thinks they "weathered the worst part (nevermind that they'll have no power, water, gas for months), they are not going to want to leave now.

Yes, absolutely. Force will have to be used to get everyone out. In order to do the dirty work that's required in this sort of rebuild, you simply cannot be required to factor in human lives in the actions (e.g. fixing natural gas lines, mass exterminations for fire ants, etc.)

Not sure where they are going to put all these people. The Cajun Dome (aka the Coonasstrodome) here is Lafayette is opening up. I'm meeting with some church members this evening to see about housing and feeding some families whose children are being evacuated from New Orleans hospitals to Lafayette hospitals. We all need to pitch in as much as we can. We are all Louisianians in times like these, we can bitch about New Orleans some other day.

Lamar-Dixon has opened as a shelter--food and a place to sleep.

Those people will revolt if they try to put them in another arena. There are unused barracks at Fort Polk with a ton of support facilities. Not sure how you'd get them there, though.
