What was up with that ?
Felt like 80 degrees at kick off and only got worse. Usually, the dome is freezing.
Maybe not all bad, though, because it made it feel a little more like Saturday night in Death Valley.

It was all that fire from the half time show with the little kids. What was with that anyway?

The Superdome is a SuperDump. It ought to be blown up. I dont blame Benson for wanting a new stadium. Thats the first game I been to in the dome in a few years and It still sucks. I went to the SECCG and the Georgia Dome is a much nicer place to attend a football game. The seats in the Georgia Dome are right up on the field, not 30yds away. You can go take a pi$$ and be back at your seat in a couple minutes, not 10 or 15 minutes. The aisles where the vending is set up are about twice as wide, so you can walk around the GA Dome, even with a packed house and not be bumping into each other the whole way. The SuperDump needs imploding.

    new stadiums

They really know how to build them better nowadays, and of course make it easier and more enjoyable to spend money when you are there. Also, the GA Dome was built pretty much just for football so the stands are closer, the sight lines are better, etc. whereas the Super Dome was built as a multi-use facility and it was the best multi-use facility ever designed with a lot of the stands on railroad type tracks so that the configuration could be changed for baseball. We just never got a baseball team so it should have been designed for football.

What's nice about the Ga Dome is that they 3x the number of bathrooms required by code. I remember going down, walking right on in, stepping up, getting it done, and getting out in about the time it took for a timeout.

Say what you want--the Superdome when fully packed with LSU or Saints fans is electrifying. The energy in the stadium during the Sugar bowl was explosive. The players, the fans, the announcers, and even the TV spectators at home were supercharged by the environment...which extends all the way to the French Quarter. There is none better.

The fans are what makes for a great, electrifying environment. We have great football fans down here. The SECCG was equally supercharged because our fans travel very well. It has nothing to do with the SuperDump.

The Superdome for years was ahead of its time, and no it belongs in a nursing home.
