Talk about a nothing story. My only reaction was a big SO WHAT? I think they should put a moose suit on the rapist and let them loose in the woods behind Palin's house.
did you read the story right? they are not making the rapist pay, but the rape VICTIM. and even if this were ok, how do you explain that burglary victims dont pay for dusting for fingerprints. its just pretty damn harsh. its just one step shy of saying its their own fault for being raped.

Maybe you should read the story again. The rape victims had to pay for the rap examination kits. Not the perps.
This is awful, for sure. But if I were shot, stabbed, beaten up, hit by a car...... I would have to pay for my own treatment, right? Is this much different?
