It was clear to me that Auburn should have played USC for the championship last season. When the BCS changed the formula to eliminate the strength of schedule (aka the LSU rule, my opinion), it returned all the power to the sportswriters. They are controlled by the media, and they want the biggest advertising revenue. Ok. has a more storied history than Auburn, so they got the ratings. Then there's the preseason seeding that Auburn couldn't overcome. Why didn't some press org. come to Auburn's rescue and give them a trophy, like they did to USC in 03?
