In my lifetime, LSU has a 4-3 Sugar Bowl record with 4 great coaches at the helm. I will say this ... all of LSU's wins in the Sugar Bowl were with great Defense ... and their losses were when they were without a great Defense.

This year's Dee is the GREATEST ever fielded by LSU.

    Nick Saban Era (1-0)
    January 4, 2004 - LSU vs OKLA
    January 1, 2002 - LSU 47, Illinois 34

    Bill Arnsparger Era (0-2)
    January 1, 1985 - Nebraska 28, LSU 10
    January 1, 1987 - Nebraska 30, LSU 15

    Charles McClendon Era (2-0)
    January 1, 1965 - LSU 13, Syracuse 10
    January 1, 1968 - LSU 20, Wyoming 13

    Paul Dietzel Era (1-1)
    January 1, 1959*- LSU 7, Clemson 0
    January 1, 1960 - Mississippi 21, LSU 0
    *National Championship

I have attended 6 Sugar Bowls and this game is by far .... the most Exciting and anticipated game in LSU Football History.
