1) Offensive Line and WR's coach: The performance of these two units especially considering their high regard in the conference and around the country was abysmal. It's time to make a change here. Both units were absolutely PAINFUL to watch at times. 2) Offensive Line: See #1. 4 starters graduate with Brian Johnson returning. Ryan Miller and Brett Helms may actually be upgrades at their respective positions, but who will come in and take the place of Andrew Whitworth at left tackle? Can Herman Johnson finally play some tackle...a position that he was so extremely highly recruited to play? 3) Defensive Tackle: Glenn Dorsey should start at one position, but who will come in and take the second starting job after the graduation of the best DT tandem in the country? 4) Cornerback: Ronnie Prude, our best corner, graduates. Chevis Jackson may start in 2006, but will Sammy Joseph take the other spot or will it be up to Zenon or some other new recruits? Is this a position where we can tell Jai Eugene that he will have a chance to come in and start?
Next year is going to be a big ?. We lose so much, there is no telling what we might have. This is not a bad thing, and not nessacarily a rebuilding year. Just a year when many guys will have to fill in and step up big. Oline recruits should be salivating to come here, yet I am not seeing that. Hopefully it will change before February.
I have met Todd Monken's wife and little kid. They were great people and I hate to say it, but we need to bring in someone new. It seems as though Stacy Searles O-lines never live up to expectations... Is it just me?
RJ Jackson will probably take the second fresh leg RB position next season Steven Korte is our only FB (that i saw)
I think LaFell playing next year is a given. And yeah, I really miss Stan Hixon. Turned Reed into a star, and did an excellent job of developing Henderson. Devery couldn't catch a cold when he first moved to receiver.
That's why I don't hold anything against Miles. Monken is a stud recruiter but just doesn't do chit for the play of our WR's. Keep him on staff to get players to come here... That's fine. I think LSU's OLine has been fine until this year. Last year we had poor QB play. This year, I dunno wtf has been going on. When units as a whole are sucking you know the HC can't go around and individually tutor each one how to play football.
http://www.redskins.com/team/cprofile.jsp?id=51 Great point. Can't blame him for taking a NFL job though, dude is a stud coach. His resume is absolutely sparkling.
This year, even though we had a lot of talent, was a trial and error thing with the coaching staff... I am pretty sure that a lot of the fat will be cut off of the bone his offseason, and I expect a solid season... We lose this, and we lose that, but our leader J-Rock will be there... Broussard, Bowe, Davis will be there... Perrilloux will play some spot-duty, so all of the skill positions are there... We just need to play well more consistently
