LSU win over Bama will bolt Tigers to #4 in the BCS

    They will only be behind USC, UT and Miami.

    I believe they will surpass Penn State, but just barely. LSU computer rankings will finally match their Harris and Coaches poll rankings after this week.

    Let's beat Bama!

    And they stay in front of Penn St, correct? Penn St only has Mich St. left, and LSU (hopefully) gets a top 10 Georgia team in Atlanta if they win the West. Our Iowa friends can help us out a little bit, too, by beating Wisconsin. An Az State win over a possibly still-reeling but ranked UCLA would help, too.

    I'm not so sure our computer rankings will jump all the way to the top 6 if that's what you are saying. We should hop into the Top 10 in all the computers, but our SOS is really bad this year, and I don't see us going much higher than that. I sure hope I'm wrong though.

    i think penn state will get upset by msu so we might not have to worry about them....thats just my take personally though....

    Brad Edwards of ESPN.com said a few weeks ago that LSU fans shouldn't have to worry about Penn State being ahead of us if we both end the season with 1 loss. All we really need is USC and Miami to lose and we can get into the Rose Bowl. Texas is going to win out, IMO.

    IF... and that's a big "IF", LSU wins over Bama, y'all should easily bolt to #4, right on the tail of Miami, if not #3. Especially if we then win out.

    If we win, this should put us much closer to UT...

    Either way, it will be the highest ranked teams that have ever play at Bryant-Denny. It will be a hell'va game.

    Good luck, and as always, hope that it's an injury free game.

    If we beat Bama and jump up to #4, then Miami and Texas lose in their Conference Championship game, you all know what that means, LSU vs. USC. Boy would that be great. It more than likely wont happen though. Lets just focus on beating Alabama.

    Yeah a lot of LSU fans are a little too confident you're going to win out. Hope your players dont have the same mind-set.

    Btw, I made a bet with an LSU fan here in ttown. We bet 2 cases of beer on the game...No spread, just straight up. Damn im thirsty! :D
