The new BCS poll is not out yet, but several of the Computer rankings are out. LSU looks to move from 14.92 points down to 10.5 points, far more than the 9.5 points expected. We are screwed again, by these BS Computer polls. Why? Dipshitt polls like the New York Times have LSU still at #8, behind Ole Miss & Tennessee, can you imagine. Colley has LSU at #6. Wes Colley is a Georgia DawgDiklika working at Univ of Virginia. Anderson & Hester have us at #5 as well as Billingsley. Some polls have us at #3 (Massey & Sagarin) & Wolfe has us at #4. We take the formula as (3+3/2)= 3+(26/6=4.3)=7.3 + 1 loss = 8.3 + SOS = 2.4 = 10.7 minus .1 = 10.6 total That puts us way behind USC & OSU. We may even be #5, I was too disgusted to check the others out. 10.6 might as well be 100.6
Yeah, I did the same thing last night, and I was shocked to see us still 8th in NYT with Ole Miss and Tennessee ahead of us. For some reason or another, they still feel the need to jump teams 10 spots for beating a team that's overrated anyway. Oh well, with Ole Miss moving this high in some polls, we should jump for beating them.
Unfortunately, once we beat ole miss, all the experts who have jumped on their bandwagon will jump off just as quickly as they got on. I don't see us getting much credit for beating them.
Will you quit worry about it. If the win our final 3 games our rankings will change drasticly in the computer polls.
Won't be enough ... For LSU to taste Sugar, we must be ranked #2 in the AP or ESPN poll, or probably both with these miserable rankings we get from the others. Only the Massey, Sagarin, Wolfe and A&H Computer rankings have LSU in the Top 5. If two or three of these polls keep SCREWING us, the rule where the worst poll is deleted does us NO GOOD. We will run the table and deserve a shot. But, I see that the deck is stacked against us with these East/West Coast pricks.
