OK, now i understand. How about orange and green unis, that would really be different and since its just for fun once a year and not permanent. That would be really cool! :milesmic:
Subscribe. I like Northwestern's purple & black look, and I think it's totally feasible to come up with a black/purple with gold accents for LSU that would look great. Just substituting black for wherever there is purple on the current uniform, doesn't work. The only question in my mind is whether the brightness of the purple might have to be dialed up a notch to make the numbers stand out against a black background.
BS..."black" my hind leg. Whatever you're smoking "change". Its causing brain damage!!! I know they wore White helmets/pants with gold jerseys in one of the bowl games quite a few years back, looked ok but went over like a lead balloon. The gear they have looks great...although I like the purple jerseys better. Hmmm maybe purple helmets and pants with gold jerseys might look OK...."naaaaaaaaaaa"!! :tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye:
Forget about trying to find a way to make black look good with our colors. What's the point of it. When the Saints went to all black, pants and shirts, in order to look, what, intimidating, all it did was look dull and morbid,. Black uniforms are just the latest trendy thing to do and make it look like you are trying to hard to be trendy. If you want something different, but with our colors, then go with the gold jerseys with the white pants that we wore for one game a few years back, now that looked sharp!
I have no dog in this fight. But I ask, why mess with the white jersey and gold pants. That is what the whole nation sees in LSU. As soon as I see a play on tv, I know if it is LSU. In purple, I sometimes have to look twice. Only other team that is perhaps as well known may be PSU. How bland is that? LSU wears those jerseys with the attitude of "come see if you can get it dirty. We dare you." I like that. JMO:geaux:
