Skip should see if he could make this a reality. Last week there was talk that USC and V Tech were in discussions to play the opening game next year. With all the interest surrounding USC-LSU this would be an incredible opportunity for LSU to showcase their program. Plus we would get a chance to pay back V Tech for screwing us by backing out of their contract.
How much would we clear dollar-wise is a big question. I understand LSU earns about a million per home game, so any payout less than that amount has to be made up somewhere.
How about LSU vs. USC on a neutral field on January 17, 2004 after (if) they each win their bowl games? That would be nice - match up this year's teams!
