Schmidt struggles again in the first inning but allows only one run. It could have been a bigger inning, but a controversial play at the plate went LSU's way. The runner appeared to be out at the plate, but the home plate umpire called it safe. The third base umpire overruled and called it an out. I would be pissed if I was California. LSU hits a home run to start the 2nd inning. 1-1 Top of the Third. I think LSU can beat California twice. LSU getting to the title game would be a monumental step for this program. And it's anybody's game at that point against UCLA.
Big double with 2 on. LSU 3-1. That should be enough for Smitty to close it out. She only gets stronger as the game goes on. Anybody watching this game? The starting pitcher for Cal looks like a drag queen with them eyebrows drawn in.
I'm listening to the game at work, and every once in awhile I get to sneak out and take a peak at the television. I'm ready to go home. Geaux Lady Tigers!!!
Smitty gets out of serious trouble in the bottom of the 4th. Runners at 2nd and 3rd and only 1 out and prevents them from scoring. That last off-speed pitch was a dandy to strike out the batter.
ESPN has it's Sunday Night Baseball on at 7 PM. Can someone tell me if they have found audio on the internet?
