Highly doubt it. Being that a team that included Jabari Smith and Stromile made it that far. This team is no where near that good.

I do its very possible. It all depends on matchups and when this team is hot they can play with anybody.

This team is every bit as good as the team with Stromile and Jabari.

Right now, this team is playing great. It's really a question of whether Brady can keep them motivated. I'm suprised to see "experts" putting us in the top 16, but it probably has more to do with the publicity we've been getting from Bass & Big Baby than our playing.

If we are a 8 or 9 seed, there is no way. I do think it is possible if we get a higher seed than that though.

    NOOOO! Hell no, in fact!!

The last time an LSU team made a late push and got into the Tourney, LSU was a pretty popluar darkhorse Sweet 16-ish pick...and we got blasted by Gene Keady and Purdue in the first round.

Calling LSU or any team with their record a Sweet 16 team is ridiculous at this point. Seeding and region will go a long, long way in determining who can get to the final 16 in the tourney.

I'd rather be underreported like last year's Georgia Tech team. Sneak up on them, sneak up on all of them...LOL.

(PS-I just got around to checking out the link. Ranking the top 16 teams in the country at this point is way, way, way different than predicting a team will make the Sweet 16. Year in, year out, the 16 teams make it to the third round of the tourney are *not* the best 16 teams in the country. Matchups and seedings play a huge role in who gets past the second round.)

Have you guys watched us play the past three games or so? We are definitely playing like a team that could cause some noise in the tourny...

    Will we? Probably not.

    Could we? Most definitely..

not gonna happen IMO (having seen all home games but 1 this year and all on tv) - this team is still streaky and once a team plays zone the entire game, they're done. I hope they do but don't think so

Yep, we could, matchups are the key. And who is playiing the best ball at the right time of the year. We've gone further in the tourney with teams not as talented as this one.

With our lack of depth and streaky out side shooting, how the Refs call the game could be the largest determing factor in the remaining LSU games. Touch fouls on Davis and Bass with cold out side shooting would kill any coaches best plans.
