So says CBS. http://www.sportsline.com/collegefootball/bowls/predictions So, they have Bama winning the SEC and LSU getting to the Fiesta as an at large. Which is kind of impossible, because if we lose to Bama there are many other one loss teams who they Fiesta would want. P.S. If we go to the Sugar and play a Big East team, I'm gonna kill myself.
What a great trip that would be. Probably fit a few days of Vegas in there too. Much better than the Sugar.
Not that you or the SEC isn't "WORTHY" of two BCS teams.... but the likelihood of it happening this year are slim to none. ...just look at the rankings after this weekend... Notre Dame will be sweet-hearted into the BCS if they win out (plus the fact that they've earned some status)... and the Big Ten has no conference championship game to bump someone down... so at this point if tOSU wins out and beats Michigan, they will be very hard to beat out as a BCS team. ... not saying it's right... just saying it is the most likely scenario at this point.
Well, start getting your things in order, because a SEC title almost certainly gives us W. Va in Atlanta. Damn.
If we were to lose to Bama we'd have to have all of the other one loss teams lose(except PSU as they would get the Big 10 slot) and Notre Dame lose at least once in order to make a BCS appearance. If the Irish finish with 3 losses I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up in a BCS bowl as the bowls would be drooling over them, they would just have to finish high enough in the standings.
I don't want to go back there just yet. One trip was enough this year. Besides, CBS is smoking crack to make such a prediction.
is that what cbs thinks will happen or what wold happen if the season ended today? i don't think we can escape playing big east champion (west virginia) if we win but that should give us a top 3 finish and a get start for next year. also, notre dame has to win out if they want to go to the bcs, they can't have more than 2 loses.
