Hmmm..the state gets "some' of there blackmail money back. Cool... I look for this to be the last season of the New Orleans Saints. Benson won't be back and the NFL, although they won't like it, will let them go. Good thing is the area will be at the top of the list for the next team to move...New Orleans Colts anyone?
Do you really think that anyone would want to move to N.O? There are still markets in California that would likely be filled before N.O. If the Saints leave, I cant see another team in N.O
Wow! What a dire prediction. I can't imagine a New Orleans without the unlucky "Saints". I've always felt that their name curses them, just plain sacrelege. Maybe they should change their name to the New Orleans "Hurricanes" instead. The idea of a reckless, lawless bunch from Bourbon Street always did conjure up thoughts of a "hurricane". I need another trip to Pat O's soon, after stopping off at Johnny Whites first :yelwink2:
It's been said a million times before the hurricane... if the Saints leave New Orleans, that's the end of the NFL in New Orleans. The market's just too small.
There's no hope for another team to move to New Orleans. You saints fans better pray they dont leave.
Is that for "rent" or to be used to no doubt have to replace the sod on the field at some point?? 4 more games on that grass is likely to tear it up pretty badly.
That's for operating a football game which includes upkeep of the field. They are only using the field 2 times during LSU's regular season(10/30 & 11/6). The other 2 games are after the season(12/4 & 12/18). The field is supposed to be replaced after this season & will be a grass field. What happens if the Saints don't have a home for next season? Your guess is as good as mine.
When you say "grass turf", do you mean replaced by real grass??? Or that fake grass crap that Michigan uses??? I hope to GOD that we keep REAL grass!
colts aren't going anywhere, they have a new stadium on the horizon. the vikes are the only team that i could remotely see wanting to move anytime soon. also, anyone know how well the Jags do in J'ville? i'm just wondering about the future now. i also agree that if the saints leave, N.O. won't see an NFL franchise for a long long time, maybe ever.
