But it was okay to move LSU to #1 last week when USC had a bye? Your line of thought is how it should be- what any given team has done to now is how it should be but, unfortunately, it's not.

Look at how they're pimping UF for the Tennessee win. I think by season's end, Tennessee wins won't count for much- their defense sucks and Florida's offense is one of the best but, on the other side of the ball, I'm still not sold on Florida's defense. They are certainly very good but don't know about NC Championship caliber....yet, anyway. Their offense is off the hook scary though.

That said, Tennesse made some huge mistakes (Course, "Good" teams don't make those or that many) and gave Florida some gifts.......or was Florida just great and created those opportunities. Not all though, WR stopped on route and defender jumps it and returns int for TD, there were others too, can't remember right off.

Though UF did a great job against Tennessee, I'm not 100% sold on their "unstoppable" offense, either, since they have yet to be truly tested by a strong defense. Will Tebow still be able to sling the ball around when he's feeling the heat or getting flushed out of the pocket on a regular basis? How will he be able to carry the game in a very hostile environment like Tiger Stadium? They still have some questions left to be answered.

Granted that favoritism can affect the polls at the end of a season but who wouldn't have wanted the BCS poll to be the way it is now and have dropped OU to 3 in 2003? We wouldn't even be worried about who we played at the end of this season...USC might be since they may have wanted to exact some sort of revenge after their loss of a NC.

In fairness to Fowler, he did say after the Va. Tech game that he would vote LSU #1.

Is there a lovefest for USC? You bet, because there is no hot-chicklike team out here to get all excited about.

This back and forth with the first place votes is pretty weak, if you ask me, but none of it matters right now, so I am not losing any sleep. I am much more preoccupied with wondering what the hell is wrong with the Saints.

If Nebraska is such a great team and in no way overated, the reigning logic would deem that they deserve to be moved up and not down.

To paraphrase ESPN talking heads: Everyone that loses to LSU is overrated, Everyone that loses to USC is underated and overwhelmed by the massive dead sexiness of USC...

Let it be what it beez, a sucfest. If/When LSU trounces USC in the NC, they will scramble for highlight footage just as they did when LSU put it on OU in 03. The morons kept showing OU season highlights even as it appeared LSU would win out, more than likely because they had none. Result: egg on face...

    Later,

Our big win so far is against a team that looks like they are overrated in VT. Nebraska also looks at best like a so-so team on the national scale but to hear some in the media you would think they are second coming of the colts.

Its the same douche that on college football live today read the numbers wrong from the poll as to which coach was under more pressure and then gave a reason why carr was picked by everyone even though he wasnt. :dis:
